The Safer Warwickshire Partnership Board has taken an interesting approach to public engagement — producing a series of short films that give residents a direct look at how partner agencies are working together on community safety.
The ‘A Day In The Life’ series, majority funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Warwickshire, was developed collaboratively across Warwickshire County Council, Warwickshire Police, all five borough and district councils, local Business Improvement Districts, and local charities. The films cover the main community safety challenges across the county, how partners are responding to crime and anti-social behaviour, the role of visible patrols and community engagement, and how the public can report concerns.
The thinking behind the series is straightforward: if people can see what partnership working actually looks like in practice, they’re more likely to trust it — and engage with it. It’s a reminder that communications can be a genuine community safety tool, not just an afterthought.
