Coming soon | Place Standard Tool: Community Safety Lens
SC Scotland collaborated with Public Health Scotland (PHS) to develop a community safety lens of the Place Standard Tool (PST) — a free resource to help citizens and communities assess how safe their environments feel, and identify opportunities for prevention, collaboration and improvement in the places we live and work.
Unfortunately, the tool wasn't ready to launch before SC Scotland closed on 30 September 2026. The project isn't shelved, though — PHS still hope to launch it in 2027. Where the finished resource will be hosted is still to be confirmed, but PHS will share updates when it's ready, as will the wider community safety sector.
